New York Fashion Week has come and gone with the blink of an eye and the click of a camera* fashion lovers alike threw on their highest heels, most stylish and noteworthy outfits, & attended the highly anticipated runway shows for the hottest designer collections for Fall 2011. I have to say, the fact that London starts up just as New York ends, makes me do my little happy dance and not fall into a slight fashion depression, going through boxes of chocolates while flipping through images of my favorite collections for the 56th time.
So, what can we all expect to be wearing next fall? Let's see...for starters, while the weather might be cold and boring, our clothing certainly won't be! We can look forward to brights, brights, and more brights! Our color palettes will expand to bold and neon colors, aside from the traditional black/neutral combos that are a go-to. This will surely add some "va-va-voom" and livelihood to our outfits. Some other good news? That LRD you slipped into on V-Day will get some extra mileage next fall, so you might want to hold onto it. Oh, and if you're sick of stripes everywhere, prepare yourself to be hit by some massive polkadots. Yes - they will be taking over. We can also expect to see more of our classic faves, like lace, sheer, animal prints, and fur! Layering and accessorizing will be huge once again, as we strive to remain stylish while staying warm.
Fall Fashion will undoubtedly be varied, fun, and vivacious! Here are some ideas for what you can sport on your first day of classes or even just to spice up the work wardrobe:
